Solar Monitoring

Boulder Valley CU became the first credit union in Boulder to go solar with our addition of solar panels to our Main Branch location in June/July of 2007. With plans to add solar to more of our branches already in the works, we are very excited about the positive impact we are having every day on our environment.

The solar system installed was a 10-kilowatt Sun Power electric system that produces clean, emission-free solar electricity. The power generated offsets 14 tons of CO2 pollution each year for the 30 to 40 year life of the system. This is the equivalent of planting 1,078 total trees or reducing 30,500 auto traveling miles per year.
